Media Shift shared limited research from Kaleida CTO Graham Tackley on his take on the value of a Facebook Share, due to the difficulty in quantifying platform advertising efforts and negotiating the unit of value.

He used a publishers client information to the correlation of organic sharing on Facebook with referral traffic, and from there, using pricing assumptions (using CPM) to determine a unit value price.
