Musical.ly, with currently a 200 million user base, of which 64 percent are age 13-24, and 75 percent are female, has for the past few months opened the platform to encourage beauty and style tutorials in collaboration with fashion publishers.

The Seventeen Magazine (Hearst Media), Refinery 29, Condé Nast-owned W magazine have been leading the charge and using it as part of their overall content strategy in order to gain insights into what younger readers are most interested in.
