Facebook’s plan to start showing original TV programmes on the platform is starting in earnest this week, as Alex Heath and Nathan McAlone look at for Business Insider UK. The social media platform has redesigned its video tab to start showcasing TV shows from producers such as Buzzfeed, Conde Nast, and ATTN, as well as from regular users of the Facebook community, according to Mark Zuckerberg. There will also be live shows, and although the official launch date hasn’t yet been confirmed, Facebook has said it’s going to happen soon, and the new video tab, called ‘Watch’, launches today (Thursday) to some users – with it being rolled out to everyone in the next few weeks.
